Big Data Challenges for Predictive Modeling of Complex Systems
The Symposium will be held 26-30 November 2018. The Institute for Mathematical Research (IMR) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in collaboration with the University of Notre Dame's Center for Informatics and Computational Science (CICS) are co-sponsoring a five-day scientific symposium on Mathematical, Statistical and Big Data Challenges for Predictive Modeling of Complex Systems.
This Symposium aims to bring together leading researchers across the globe to address challenges in the interface of machine learning/deep learning, information/data sciences and scientific computing that will accelerate the development of data-driven models for prediction and decision making under uncertainties in scientific and engineering applications.
The Symposium will include several tutorials as well as invited and contributing research presentations on the most recent advances.There will also be a poster session for attendees to present their work to the group. Emphasis is given on unifying mathematical, statistical and computing themes as well as on large-scale applications of Big Data to complex systems in physical, chemical, biological sciences and engineering.
